This coming Saturday we are going to attend a talk about Astronomy for beginners at the local star Observatory, which is on the hills on top of San Marcello Pistoiese. Since we didn't stay at the first two spots because of the Internet we arrived here quite in advance. At the suspension bridge yesterday evening we saw the police come by, and there was quite some traffic of local people, so we thought that it is better to not spend there two nights. Luckily we were prepared for this and we have enough water and food to last

here till Sunday.

The 3 nights stay at the observatory parking lot were amazing. Perfect temperature, surrounded by nature, the ground was levelled, and very quiet during the day and night.

I did a 7km walk on Saturday, nothing special, just to prepare for the more intense hikings that will follow. The conference was quite dull, just basic concepts of astronomy and related physics, but in the end, we saw the telescope they use, which I never seen before.
